Deus, in adjutorium meum intende. Domine, ad adjuvandum me festina.
O God, come to my assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me.
Tears. We are all familiar with tears. For some strange reason they can even flow when we're joyously happy. The ones that make us tremble, make our eyes burn and our stomachs churn, leave us with the deepest sorrow for some dreadful loss, those are the ones most of us are familiar with. No one goes through life without suffering some heartbreak or personal loss . Something may be devastating to one person and only a small sadness to another, depending upon the sensibilities of any one individual. We know of tragedies, however, that can affect a whole family, a whole neighborhood, city or country. They leave scars on the soul that are never fully healed. Christ told the women of Jerusalem to weep for their children. He knew the future. We do weep for our children when they fall away, when they hurt, when they turn from God. Those things are the worst sorrows for mothers everywhere. Today, how can we not weep when we see the horrors, death and mutilation of children around the world by war or persecution, and our own young people permanently disabled or killed in service to their country.
Why then, when we know the supreme sacrifice Our Lord made for us, the extreme physical suffering alone that not one of us could endure, do we not sit down and weep uncontrollably for every sin, large and small, that caused so much agony on our behalf? We should mingle our tears with those of His Sorrowful Mother. Nothing can equal what she felt and witnessed. Because of our human weaknesses we continue to offend, to weep, to promise to repent, and then we fall again. Weep for the world today. There is so much that offends the loving and Sacred Heart of Our Lord. We and our children will reap the punishment. Weep and pray.

The Eighth Station: The Women of Jerusalem Weep Over Jesus
We adore Thee, O Christ, and we praise Thee,
Because by Thy holy cross Thou hast redeemed the world.
Consider that those women wept with compassion at seeing Jesus in so pitiable a state, streaming with blood, as he walked along. But Jesus said to them, "Weep not for Me, but for your children."
My Jesus, laden with sorrows, I weep for the offences that I have committed against Thee, because of the pains which they have deserved, and still more because of the displeasure which they have caused thee, Who hast love me so much. it is thy love more than the fear of hell, which causes me to weep for my sins. My Jesus, I love thee more than myself; I repent of having offended Thee. never permit me to offend Thee again grant that I may love Thee always, and then do with me what Thou wilt.
Our Father.....Hail Mary.....Glory Be.....
Lord Jesus, crucified,
Have mercy on us!
For the sins of His own nation
Saw Him hang in desolation
Til His spirit forth he sent.
