   Flash! The Republicans could do so much to help themselves if they had more courage - or imagination.

   On September 3, after having heard Villaregosa of Los Angeles talk about the Republicans being more like 1812 and black and white TV.  I wrote a blog about the fact that those would be good things. Check it out, if you haven't yet.

   Here's another. We, according to V.P. Biden have TURNED THE CORNER.  You'd better believe it.  President Obama says we will go FORWARD.  Well, they're both correct.  In 2008 we made a hard LEFT turn around that corner and we're hurtling FORWARD (a communist term), the Democrat lemmings rushing headlong towards the economic and foreign policy cliff and taking the rest of us with them.  That left turn is towards a marxist, socialist government.

   With abortion in the party platform I want the Republicans to ask, as Bill O'Reilly did last night, what the Right to Choose means. Right to Choose what?  That small being inside a woman is not part of her body to do with as she "chooses."  It is not an invasive disease. It has, from its conception, the DNA of a human being. It is a human being.  The Right to Choose means the right to choose life or death. The definition that the pro-"choice" people put upon it, is the right to murder. They simply can't bring themselves to look at it that way. They call it health care. They deceive themselves.

   I would tell the Republicans to counter the charge that they are waging a "War on Women" with the charge that the Democrats have a "War on the Unborn."  Women can and should take care of themselves. No one is holding them back from careers, votes, whatever they want if they are really women and not poor little things, so oppressed by big bad Republicans. Unborn children in the womb, on the other hand, are helpless and dependent upon that free-to-choose woman for their very existence.

   I would like to see the Democrats shamed; except that I don't think that the feeling of shame is something they are capable of. Shame on those who booed a churchman and used the f word against him. Shame that 50% - and it was obvious by the voice vote - of delegates rejected putting God back into the platform.

   Shame on Ms. Fluke, a 30 year old woman, who wants the government to pay for her contraceptives. Sexual activity is an elective behavior, not cancer, not high blood pressure, not a heart problem. It is free choice. There! Another "Right to Choose." Health care for women? It's a stretch.

   President Obama doesn't want us to "go back" to what we had before. According to him, the way the country was governed didn't work.  This from a man who is bankrupting the country, seizing power and nationalizing companies, shutting down the economy and promising to tax us to death.

   I say yes to the successful days of Reagan, to the ideals of the Founding Fathers, to the respect for religion and the name of God, to the respect we've lost around the world, to the guarantees of individual freedoms enumerated in our Constitution, instead of shredding it into unrecognizable confetti.  Yes, let's "go back," by all means. Stress that. Don't run from it. Promote it unflinchingly.

   Don't ignore the Tea Party and social conservatives who will account for more votes than you can afford to do without.  Expose DAILY on the air, on billboards, online, each and every lie or "mis-statement" made by obama and all his vocal supporters and sycophants.  Point out the burgeoning unemployment of blacks and hispanics since Obama took office. Make it loud and make it often.

   Why are the Republicans, and even the so-called fair and balanced news media afraid to stress that the current president's aim is marxist; and the people surrounding him are marxists? Explain what that means, for heaven's sake. Expose the silent, on-going attacks on our liberties that occur regularly without much publicity. Tell the people who don't know, what Homeland Security is doing. Talk about the EPA and its excesses. There are lists of the czars and what they propose. There is history of Obama's radical past. Books are available. Only a few talk radio hosts and internet sites have tried to get the truth out.

   I don't see how President Obama can be defeated if there is not a hard-hitting, very public offensive to inform the general public, which is clueless, about what all this means to every person in this country. The main stream media, print and electronic, won't help. So - God helps those who help themselves.
