Just Thinkin'

Deus, in adjutorium meum intende. Domine, ad adjuvandum me festina.
O God, come to my assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me.

   Listening to the speakers at the RNC Convention last night, gave me a feeling of pride and, dare I say it, hope. However, it is hope tinged with a feeling of dread. That dread stems from the fact that it doesn't matter that the messages were great, that capable blacks and hispanics are just as likely to be successful based on their own merits, that the ideas put forth by Paul Ryan, Mike Huckabee, Allen West and others have merit and should be obvious to anybody with half a brain. The dread is that too many people won't even have heard these things, or cared to hear them.  The dread is that most of the main stream media actually didn't show the minority speeches. The dread is that the opposition will continue to lie and be believed, will do anything, legal or not, to ensure that Obama is re-elected, and thwart every effort to try to have an honest election.

   What are they doing to stop the New Black Panthers and their threats? What are they doing to see that voter rolls are accurate? What are they doing to see that our servicemen and women are afforded their right to vote?  We know the answers. These are the things that cause my feeling of dread. 

   If Obama has four more years in office we will lose our country entirely as we have known it. I have friends - at least they were friends- who think that Barak Obama is great. What has he done that makes them his adorers? I can't figure it out.

   Then I have friends who don't think that Romney will be any better. They doubt his pro-life stance. They claim they will vote for Ron Paul. Tell them that if they do they will be electing Obama and they can't get the picture! They say their conscience won't let them vote for Romney. Their logic is skewed. Their conscience doesn't tell them that to re-elect Obama is to violate their Catholic Faith. He stands for abomination in the form of abortion. He stands for same-sex marriage. He is, moreover a Marxist. All these things make it impossible for a practicing Catholic to vote for him - yet they will allow him to remain in office by their upside down reasoning.

As I have said often and continue to repeat:  Pray that Almighty God will have mercy on this country which has been denying Him His due for too long.
